2012 started off with a bang!

Our New Year's celebration was pretty low-key, but all I really wanted was to see the fireworks. I've never spent a new years in Germany before but I've been told it's pretty insane as far as fireworks go, so that was my only request for ringing in the new year. And we didn't have to go far. Check out these pics of the fireworks we watched from my bedroom window! They really don't do the scene justice for how many fireworks were actually going off at once. And it went on like crazy for almost an hour! 

 

And of course we got some sparklers to take part part in the action ourselves!
